Hannah Smith - Friday, September 09, 2016

Y4, 5 & Y6 have been reminded of our Sharp Website which is a reporting system for anti-social behaviour and bullying.  When using the Sharp System, the children can make a report informing Miss Smith about any incidents of bullying or anti social behaviour, including cyber bullying. Incidents from both inside and outside of school can be reported and Miss Smith will decide on the appropriate action.

Awards For Ecclesfield

Tracy Lilley - Friday, June 10, 2016

During this academic year, the pupils and staff at Ecclesfield have been busy working towards various awards which all support the school in being the best it can possibly be.

Mrs Mellor, Miss Smith and the Eco Warriors have worked hard to achieve the ‘Eco School Bronze Award’. This is credited to our school because of our provision outdoors and the work we have done on creating a sustainable environment.

We have also been awarded the ‘Achievement for All’ Quality Mark for our work with supporting our learners. Mrs Stevenson has worked extremely hard and we are grateful for all her time and dedication.

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor Learning @ Ecclesfield

Our Foundation Stage outdoor classroom is taking shape. This week, the children have enjoyed experimenting and collaborating on our new
painting window.
The pupils at Ecclesfield are really enjoying their new outdoor classroom which they have named ‘
The Wildlife Watch’. Again, a big thank you to Fletchers Bakery who supported us in this project.

Parent and Child Breakfast Club

Hannah Smith - Friday, May 06, 2016

Parent and Child Breakfast Club
Over the past few weeks each Friday, we have trialled a new breakfast club for parents and children to have breakfast together in our small dining room.

It has been a great success and the parents and children who have attended have commented on how delicious the food is and how lovely it is to spend time with their children in the mornings. As such, we are continuing our Parent and Child Breakfast Club on a Friday morning (doors will open at 7.50am). All the food will be prepared and cooked by Taylor Shaw, our school meals provider.
Please note; This breakfast club is not supervised as parents are expected to remain for the duration with their child.
Our usual breakfast club is still running from 7.30am where parents are able to drop their children off.

MAST Parent Workshop 17.5.16

Hannah Smith - Friday, May 06, 2016

MAST (Multi Agency Support Team)

Raising a family is the most important job anyone can do. It has amazing rewards but it
can also be very challenging. At some point you may need some extra help.

Your local Multi Agency Support Teams (MAST) are here to help you and your family.
Every year, MAST support 1000s of families by delivering around 60 parenting
programmes, whole family support and in their 16 Children's Centres.

MAST are going to be running a drop in session for parents at Ecclesfield. The session is for parents to drop in and ask for advice or support with things such as  housing, benefits,
further education, behaviour support and many more professional services.
The drop in session will be on

Tuesday 17th May, 1.15pm—2.45pm

Please come into school via the main entrance.
For further information about how MASTs support families, have a look at the following website:
