Read all about what our fantastic School Council have been achieving!

Our school council work really hard to support different charities by organising fundraising events.

We have had a great start to this school year's fundraising!

September 2018 - We celebrated Dahlicious Day buy inviting children and staff to come to school dressed in their favourite Roald Dahl character. The children wore some fantastic outfits and a grand total of £217.00 was raised for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

October 2018 - Parents and carers were invited to a coffee morning in school where staff served refreshments and many, many baked goods. Children also had the opportunity to buy the baked goods at break time. We raised a great amount of money for Dementia UK - a total of £240.28.

November 2018 - We raised £177.38 for the Poppy Appeal by inviting the children to purchase poppies and other related goods.

These are the activities which took place to raise money for charity last school year.

September 2017 - Everyone in school was invited to dress up as their favourite Roald Dahl character or to wear something yellow, as this was Roald Dahl's favourite colour. £295.10 was raised and was donated to Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

September 2017 - At the end of the month, we held a coffee morning for parents and carers as well as organising a raffle and allowing pupils to buy buns at break time. We raised a cake-tastic £206.25 which was donated to McMillan Cancer Support Charity.

October 2017 - Throughout our harvest festival celebrations, we received a large number of donations of food and supplies as well as raising £85.71. The goods and money was donated to the Cathedral Archer Project, a homeless day centre based in Sheffield.

November 2017 - We raised an amazing £592.45 for Children in Need by organising a number of activities including a Pudsey Bear biscuit sale, a "Guess how many sweets Pudsey has eaten" and a dress down day for all staff and pupils.

December 2017 - ALl staff and pupils were invited to wear a Christmas jumper to school for a small donation. A total of £252.05 was raised and sent to the Text Santa appeal which supports three charities; Save the Childre, Make-a-Wish UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
