Autumn 2

Emma Brameld - Monday, October 30, 2017

As we approach our brand new half term, we would just like to say a massive well done to all of the children in Y4. You made a fantastic start to the new school year and got straight to work from day one! We have had a great half term learning all about the Stone age, Bronze Age and Iron Age, as well as learning all about teeth and digestion during our science topic. You have produced some wonderful work and have impressed us all with your knowledge of pre-historic times!

Our next topic is all about Sheffield. If you are out and about, please take a photo to add to our Sheffield display!

Just a few reminders for next half term...

  • - Our next breakfast morning for parents and carers will be on Tuesday 14th November from 8.40am to 9am. Drinks and snacks will be available at a small charge.

  • - Swimming will continue to be every Tuesday afternoon, with Y4K returning slightly later at 3.30pm.

  • - PE kits need to be in school every Thursday for our PE session. However, if possible, please ensure your child has their PE kit every day in case we would like to do some outdoor learning. As the weather is getting colder, please send your child with tracksuit bottoms and a warm jumper.

- Spelling tests will take place every Friday.

During parents evening, we stressed the importance of the children knowing their times tables up to 12 x 12 by the end of Y4. Although we practice these daily in school, it is not enough and we need your help at home. Here are some useful websites and games to support the children's learning at home.
