Drumming Workshop

Wow! What an amazing musical experience that key stage 2 have had this week! Jeff Rich, the drummer for Status Quo, came into school to deliver a drumming workshop to all of the children. He shared all his expertise on the history of drum making over time and why the changes were made and the impact this had on the pitch and volume of different sounds. We all then had the opportunity to play a percussion instrument alongside his drum playing to create our own compositions. We can't wait to see if we have some future drummers in the making!
