Year 4 have started their new history unit of work this week which is focus on the Roman Empire. To immerse themselves in the daily life in Britain prior to the Roman invasion, they learnt about the Iron Age Celts, what they looked like and used a variety of sources to determine how they lived their lives. They even practised the skill of weaving which was vital to a range of objects that the Celts used to make and then use. They also combined this with their geographical knowledge about place to locate which Celtic tribes you would belong to if you lived in the locations of the modern-day cities across the UK.
