Y5 Visit to Sheffield Manor Lodge

Year 5 had a brilliant time at Manor Lodge on Friday learning all about the Tudors. They had the opportunity to dress up in Tudor  clothing to compare the lives of the rich and poor society whilst also using inventories to make deductions on Tudor life. They also toured the house and grounds and learnt about how Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned at Manor Lodge by Queen Elizabeth I. Finally, they made their very own pomanders which were used by the Tudors to fight    illness as they believed that bad smells made you ill.
